Since Sanskruti was founded in 2016, we’ve grown to three locations, broadening access to the transformative power of dance. We offer classes in Matawan, NJ - Edison, NJ and Huntingdon Valley, PA. We provide a distinctive experience for dancers of every age, skill level, and style. Our dedicated team of instructors collaborates to create a curriculum that caters to the unique strengths and needs of our students. We offer a wide range of dance classes, including Bollywood, Contemporary, Tap, Hip-Hop, Semi-Classical, and Bollywood Dance Fitness, for all ages!

Meet the team

Kruti Shah garnered global attention as a top-10 finalist on Hrithik Roshan’s reality series Just Dance, which aired on Star Plus in 2011. Since her international debut, she has continually pushed boundaries and redefined choreography and teaching by seamlessly integrating Eastern and Western cultural elements.

Trained in Bharatnatyam and Kathak, Kruti enriches traditional Indian dance with her extensive expertise in ballet, pointe, tap, hip-hop, jazz, lyrical, and modern dance. Her innovative creations resonate with audiences both domestically and internationally. During her time in Mumbai, she earned widespread acclaim for her talent and received support from Bollywood icons like Hrithik Roshan, Farah Khan, Vaibhavi Merchant, Terence Lewis, and the legendary Saroj Khan, who honored her with the esteemed Rs. 101 ka Shagun.

Upon returning to the United States after Just Dance, Kruti channeled her creative energy into Mystic India: The World Tour, a Bollywood dance extravaganza. As a Principal Dancer, Choreographer, and Assistant Director, she performed to captivated audiences across the United States, Bahrain, South Africa, Canada, and China. She also served as the chief Indian choreographer for Bollydoll, the lavish LA-based live musical directed by Amrita Sen.

In 2016, Kruti established Sanskruti Dance LLC, showcasing her commitment to innovation, exploration, and her unique fusion of Eastern and Western artistry. In addition to her work at Sanskruti, Kruti currently serves as a lecturer in the dance department at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. 

A strong advocate for formal academic and performing arts education, Kruti combines her diverse background—including being the sole recipient of the New Jersey Honored Dance Excellence Award and a Rutgers University graduate in Evolutionary Anthropology—with her experience to help dancers navigate the intersection of their Indian heritage and American experiences.

The school teaches various styles including Bollywood , semi- classical, Tap, Hip-Hop, Contemporary and Fitness.Am with Sanskruthi since 2018 where my little one been learning dance since she was 3yrs old. Am living my dream since I have joined Sanskruthi from performing Bollywood and semiclassical .Its been rewarding experience so far . They have performance 🎭 teams specially equipped with unique skills to perform at various stage events and concerts , one of them being Carnegie festival . They execute their dance recitals with lot of passion and professional etiquette.   • My family has been attending classes with Sanskruti for six years now. Started off with my then five year old (now 11) joining the Bollywood class on Sunday morning sessions. Saw how much fun she was having thought I join the adults Bollywood class at the same time.

    Over the years we have both enjoyed making new friends and having the chance to perform on stage together at times. I’ve seen my daughter immerse herself into learning different dance forms, at the same time learning the cultural and language aspects of what the classes offer. She’s currently taking additional classes in semiclassical, tap, contemporary and performance team.

    As a parent, did my research before choosing Sanskruti and haven’t looked back on my decision 😊. Miss Kruti (the owner) and the team of instructors promote a fun and safe environment. The students are great - it’s fun seeing them bond and grow together over the years, looking after one another as peers. The dance parents bond as well through the process. 😁.   • I have been a student at Sanskruti School of Cultural Dance for 8yrs and have always enjoyed dancing in class with our Sanskruti teachers and team members. I take their Adult Bollywood, Adult Semi-Classical and Bollywood Dance Fitness class as well as being a part of their Adult Performance Team. I have always loved dancing and have learned different forms as a child but over the years the passion had to take a pause. When I decided to start again, I found out about Sanskruti School of Cultural Dance, was a bit nervous and a little excited to go back and learn. It's been 8yrs but my day 1 excitement is always present! Miss Kruti's choreography is so unique that I am always looking forward to learning and coming to class each week. Not only Miss Kruti but all of Sanskruti's instructors - Miss Katherine, Miss Gianna, Miss Seena and Miss Liya are very keen on their teaching techniques and always look out for their students. They truly create a safe, positive environment that motivates each student to try something new and give your best.

    Over the years I have got opportunities to perform at the India Day Celebrations (in NJ, NYC, PA), NBPAC in association with Rutgers University, Carnegie Hall, New Brunswick Free Public Library, and last but not least Disney World ♥️ (Place where I never thought about performing) but it was truly a dream come true. All these performances had more than 40 students on stage and each one of us got a chance to shine on stage. The choreography was distinctive, my family and friends have loved watching us on stage. Miss Kruti pays attention to detail while teaching and before we go on stage she never forgets to motivate her students. Not only Miss Kruti but even other team members are always looking out for each other. The juniors, seniors, and adult team work together to help one another out. The instructor as well as students are so welcoming, it is truly amazing to see how so many people spread positivity around you!

    The professionalism Miss Kruti and her team maintain is impeccable. Our family has also learned choreography from Miss Kruti for a wedding event.
