Kruti Shah captured the attention of audiences and artists across the globe as a top-10 finalist on Hrithik Roshan’s reality series, Just Dance. The show aired worldwide to viewers on Star Plus in 2011. Long before her international debut and since, Kruti continuously revolutionizes and innovates as a choreographer and teacher who seamlessly blends the best of eastern and western culture.

Trained in Bharatnatyam and Kathak, Kruti infuses Indian classical forms with her extensive ballet, pointe, tap, hip-hop, jazz, lyrical, and modern dance knowledge, to create products that resonate with her domestic and international following. While competing and training in Mumbai, she earned critical and commercial acclaim for such creativity, along with deep support from Bollywood icons, such as Hrithik Roshan, Farah Khan, Vaibhavi Merchant, Terence Lewis, and legendary Saroj Khan – who bestowed upon Kruti her sought-after token of honor and respect, the Rs. 101 ka Shagun.

Kruti Shah returned to the United States after Just Dance to fuel her creative ingenuity behind Mystic India: The World Tour, a Bollywood dance spectacular. With Mystic India, she toured the world as a Principal Dancer, Choreographer and Assistant Director.  Kruti has captivated thousands of audience members, performing across the United States, Bahrain, South Africa, Canada and China, all the while serving as chief Indian choreographer for Bollydoll, the extravagant LA-based live musical directed by Amrita Sen.

A firm believer in formal academic and performing arts education. Kruti leverages her own diverse and prolific background – as a the sole recipient of the New Jersey Honored Dance Excellence Award from the highly competitive New Jersey State Governor’s School dance program and as a graduate of Rutgers University in Evolutionary Anthropology. She has broken barriers for young, growing dancers grappling with the poignant and powerful artistic expression which lies between their Indian heritage and American experiences.

As the Founder and Creative Director of Sanskruti, Kruti hopes to instill young dancers with valuable education, morals and lessons beyond the classroom and perseverance to follow one's dreams and passion.
